Asya Spears began her journey with mathematics at a young age, enjoying the challenge of applying the rules to solve algebra and trigonometry problems.
In college, she became a tutor, leading her peers through problem solving workshops in courses like Calculus that served as gatekeepers for success in STEM.
She continued to help others on their paths to success as a Teaching Assistant for Introductory Biostatistics at UCLA, designing interactive Pre-Lab activities to help students connect course concepts to Stata functions. She was voted Best Biostatistics TA in 2013.
After working with many students as a TA, Asya wanted to support Public Health professionals in advancing their data journeys outside of the classroom.
Rose Data Studio is where the voyage continues.
